SUKRTAM Foundation is a non-profit trust founded in Chennai, India by renowned Carnatic vocalist Vidushi Dr. S. Sowmya. It aims to involve musicians and students of music in activities that support the welfare of disadvantaged sections of society such as children with special needs & disabilities and abandoned/homeless senior citizens & children.
The trust coordinates monthly donations of groceries, clothing, school stationery, essential toiletries and such other material to old age homes, orphanages and victims of natural disasters. Regular music and devotional programs involving young musicians are conducted at centres for children with special needs. The trust also associates with art portals & presenters to host music and dance performances by talented special needs children and artistes with disabilities.
The trust welcomes donations in cash & kind to support these activities. The trust has tax exemptions under Sections 80G & 12A.
